You should try A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, Where The Heart Is by Billie Letts, and The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. When you’re finished with the books be sure to watch the movies to see how different they are. You’d be suprised. I hope this helps.

My favorites are The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien), The Sherlock Holmes mysteries by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The works of Jean M. Auel, anything by Dean Koontz, the Star Trek novels of Peter David, the Shannarah series by Terry Brooks, L. Frank Baum’s Oz series, and Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell.
Since you’ve already read Lord of the Rings, you might give the others a try, and also try Tolkien’s Silmarillion.
Oh, and you did spell Geisha right ![]()

This may not be your speed but Patrick O’Brian wrote a long series of stories about a few characters on the seas. They wen’t pirates but it’s the same era and had to deal with pirates. Maybe you saw "Master and commander".

Here are some pirate books
Captain Blood by Rafael Sabatini.he only thing Irishman Peter Blood wants is to be left alone. A trained physician living in Bridgewater, England in the 17th century, Blood spends his days healing the sick, smoking his pipe, and reminiscing about his ten-year stint as an adventurer throughout Europe. When the Duke of Monmouth organizes a rebellion against the tyranny of James Stuart, the King of England, Blood refuses to have anything to do with it despite suffering the abuse of those locals who wholeheartedly support the campaign. Blood’s undoing comes when he assists an injured rebel after the royal army crushes the upstarts. Blood sees no contradiction in offering aid to an injured man, but the English soldiers who arrest him insist he is a traitor to the Stuart monarchy. They charge Blood for his "crimes" and sentence him to death by hanging. After commuting the sentence to ten years of slavery on the island of Barbados, the English transport Blood and a few rebels into the hands of the treacherous Colonel Bishop, a sugar plantation owner and a ruthless thug who sees nothing wrong with using stocks, whips, and other threatening devices to control his slaves.
The story rapidly takes off from this point, as Blood escapes and embarks on a career as a pirate. He raids Spanish treasure ships in the Caribbean while pining for Bishop’s pretty niece Arabella. Sabatini introduces us to a whole host of despicable characters, from Spanish Admiral Don Esteban, a French pirate named Lavasseur, and a French general named Rivarol who all present a threat to Peter at one time or another. Blood dupes them all through a series of adventures on sea and land. Through it all this Irish pirate never loses sight of his goals: to clear his name and return to England, and to woo Arabella Bishop.
The Sea-hawk by Rafael sabatini. The hero (rather anti-hero) of the Sea Hawk is Sir Oliver, a Cornish nobleman betrayed or abondoned by everyone he ever loved. Framed for murder, spurned and insulted by his fiancee, sold into slavery by his half-brother, Sir Oliver turns inward and his soul becomes twisted with hate and desire for vengeance. And he becomes a pirate. And that’s only the first half.
If you liked Rafael Sabatini read Scaramouche,Bellarion.
Master of seduction,A pirate of her own-Kinley Macgregor
Kydd-Julian stockwin
Dresden file book series by Jim Butcher. There are 8 books in the series beginning with stormfront. It narrates the story of Harry Dresden, chicago’s only professional wizard who works as a detective. He stands between the general population who is ignorant about the supernatural world and the monsters – vampires, werewolves, fallen angels, fey. He is aided by Bob,a talking skull.Karrin Murphy-a police officer and Thomas-a white court vampire.
Hunter’s moon,Moon’s web are novels written by Cathy Clamp and C.T. Adams about a werewolf Tony Giodone who is an assassin-for-hire by profession. It is written from Tony’s first person POV (point of view).Tony meets his new client, one Suzi Quentin. She wanted someone offed. Well, this is child’s play to our boy…um…wolf…Tony. Only she knocks him for a loop when she tells him the name of the person she wants killed – herself! So begins the story.
Dragonjousters series(joust, alta, sanctuary) by Mercedes Lackey. The setting is ancient Egypt.Hunger, anger, and hatred are constants for young Vetch, rendered a brutally mistreated and overworked serf by the Tian conquest of his homeland. But everything improves when a Tian jouster requisitions Vetch to become the first serf ever to be a dragon boy. His training is intense, and his duty clear-cut: to tend his jouster, Ari, and his dragon, Kashet. He discovers that, because Ari himself had hatched Kashet, the dragon is different from others that have been captured live in the wild and must be drugged to be made tractable. Vetch finds he really likes and understands dragons, and soon he becomes the best dragon boy of all. He still harbors anger, however, toward the Tian invasion. Could he, perhaps, hatch a dragon, and then escape to help his people?
Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote the Mars novels and the tarzan novels. There are 11 novels in the mars series beginning with ‘a princess of mars’.Captain John Carter of the Confederate Army is whisked to Mars and discovers a dying world of dry ocean beds where giant four-armed barbarians rule, of crumbling cities home to an advanced but decaying civilization, a world of strange beasts and savage combat, a world where love, honor and loyalty become the stuff of adventure. The later books are about his son Carthoris, daughter Tara etc.John carter is a recurring character in all these books as martians live for 1000 years.
The best among the Tarzan novels is ‘Son of Tarzen.’ Jack, the son of Tarzan shared his father’s love for apes.He was only trying to help an ape escape to Africa from his cruel trainer. However he got involved in a murder and couldn’t return home.He chose to live in the jungle with the apes. Its a fascinating book. The social system among the intelligent giant apes,Korak’s relationship with Miriam are all interesting stuff. Its a great coming of age book.
